We went to the zoo yesterday and Amiya had to see the manatees. She loves 'em and walked all over the zoo until she found them. The Lowry Park Zoo has a great manatee exhibit for a small zoo and Amiya really likes to go there. It's a huge underground cavern with four or five big viewing windows. She'd spend hours there, if I'd let her. But it's just a little bit nervous-making to have her in a dark place with lots of strangers and only one set of eyes to watch her. I guess I can be fully certified as a Mom now because I worry even in seemingly benign spaces.
