Strike!

Amiya went bowling for the first time this weekend at a classmate's birthday party. She was very, very interested in the whole thing until it wsa actually time to bowl. "The ball is so heavy, Mom." "Can you do it
Mom?" "But I just went." "But it's so slow." And that last complaint is fair, it took her ball an average of 3 minutes 36 seconds to get from top of ramp to first pin down the lane.

It was far more fun to play ring around the rosy on the slippery floor with the other girls from school. And eat pizza. And chicken fingers. And quesadillas. (That's a week's worth of junk food in our house!)

All that being said, she still somehow managed to aim the ramp just right and get that ball going fast enough to create enough commotion and get her first ever strike! If you look closely at the screen below, her row is above the row in red - you can just make out the X for the strike.

WOW! Give Amiya my congratulations on her first strike. Tell her if she comes to Wisconsin and meets my dh Jack, he will show her the ring they give you for a 300 game!

Go Jack! I think if we lived in Wisconsin, we'd bowl a lot more often! Bowling alleys are definitely less common here than there! I know of only three in Tampa!
