Surely you must be able to see it now. It's not the helpfully placed arrow but the gravity of the wound that draws the eye. Doesn't it look gangrenous to you? Don't you think it needs stitches? Steri-strips? At least a good soaking in an iodine solution?
You would think that Amiya expects a Medal of Valor for this. We hear talk of nothing (absolutely nothing) except for this owie on her hand. We try to feign surprise when she announces that the owie is still there five minutes after we last kissed it and told her it will go away in a few days.
And the moral of the story - don't play with mulch! We tell her this every.single.time we go to the playground and yet she still does. You'd think she'd learn.
