Finger painting is a big deal in our house - always an occasion for much merriment and many hugs. Today, however, finger painting had to take place à deux. Amiya insisted that Daddy paint with her, offering such encouragement as "There you go." and "Come on boy!"
We both aren't sure where "Come on boy!" has come from; we're blaming it on her Grandpa who constantly refers to his dog, Jasmine (a female), as a he. We think he must have said, "Come on boy!" to Jasmine in Amiya's presence and, of course, it's stuck like glue.
It was kind of cute to hear her say these things and a little bit weird at the same time. She's growing up way too fast!
