This is actually yesterday's picture, but Mommy's now got Amiya's cold and so things are moving slooooooowly in Tampa lately.
Amiya was given a bubble machine for her birthday by our neighbor. This is an absolutely fantastic toy as blowing bubbles is deceptively difficult. Have you ever really thought about? You have to hold the wand at the right angle, the right distance from your breath and, most importantly, you have to control the force of your breath. All three of these things combined are beyond the grasp of our child. Yes, she's speaking in huge sentences, but she can't blow bubbles yet. (A skill that we were all thankful for after she didn't slobber all over her birthday cake.)
Anyway, back to the bubble machine. It's a really good thing - we fill it with "juice" and put it on the driveway. Amiya amuses herself for a few minutes turning it on and off and then we get to the good stuff: trying to catch bubbles for all the people she loves. Yesterday, we caught bubbles for Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Mikey, Mimine (the cat in France), Coucou (Jean-Jacques), Grand-mère (Genevieve), Tata (Céline), Carter (Uncle Andy's dog) and Jasmine (Grandma and Grandpa's dog). Do not despair if your name was not listed, the machine ran out of juice. Today will surely be your day.
